Fluid Air is excited to announce that Process Engineer Laurine Rio will take the stage at the International Oligonucleotide & Peptide Conference (IOPC) this June to share research shaping the future of peptide processing.

Her presentation, “Emerging and Continuous Drying Process for Peptides,” will be held on June 10, 2026, from 4:35 to 5:05 PM in the PEPTIDES track.

Drying remains one of the most demanding steps in biopharmaceutical downstream processing, especially when working with thermosensitive actives. Laurine’s work explores how electrostatic drying (ESD) offers a continuous, gentle, and highly efficient alternative to traditional batch methods such as lyophilization. A peptide case study will be presented based on a Bologna University collaboration to highlight ESD’s potential as an efficient drying method for sensitive molecules and point to the importance of deeper comparisons with lyophilization, particularly around energy and utility consumption.
